Josh Elliss graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dixie State College St. George with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. The University of Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine was Dr. Elliss’s next stop. Additionally, he worked as an extern at Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. There he gained exposure to the latest cosmetic and occlusion procedures. He was also awarded the Quintessence Award, for his work during school, and the Outstanding Student Award of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. After schooling, Dr. Ellis practiced in Dallas, Texas, prior to moving his family to Las Cruces.
Growing up in the small Utah town of Zion’s National Park, my love for hiking and being outdoors was a natural part of growing up. I am grateful to now look out my window every day and see the beautiful Organ Mountains so close by. Las Cruces is a unique and diverse place and my family feels at home here.” Dr. Elliss is currently involved in local cub scouts and enjoys being a supporter of NMSU athletics and student organizations.
Cory Thompson went to Arizona State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a bachelor’s in Spanish. The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine was where Dr. Thompson graduated. There he enjoyed the different seasons, but also learned to love the idea of never having to shovel sunlight. His family asked Dr. Thompson to move to the southwest desert. Las Cruces is where Dr. Thompson and his family called home after spending some time in Arizona. They have come to love the region and its people.
Las Cruces has a distinct character that makes it special. White Sands National Park offers breathtaking mountain views. It is an area that my family and me are proud to call our home. Las Cruces is my dream place. I look forward to serving their needs. The path was not always straight and clear but with encouragement from his family, friends and church he had faith he would achieve his goal. After graduating from Las Cruces High School as a Sanitation Aid, he started to work hard. After graduating from high school and completing a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistance, he worked at Las Cruces Nursing Center and attended NMSU School of Business and College of Arts and Sciences to complete pre-dental requirements. He was then accepted to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry after completing his Bachelors of Business Administration. He was the class president for all four years, and was also a member of Loma Linda University School of Dentistry’s Dean’s List. He was nominated, and won numerous leadership awards. In order to keep learning more about advanced dentistry techniques and dental procedures, Dr. Espinoza applied for the University of New Mexico’s Advanced General Dentistry Program. In addition to LV, he completed an additional year of daily dental procedures at a hospital and clinic setting. Endodontic, fixed-and-removal prosthodontics and advanced pediatric cases. This was a difficult year. However, his experience with dentists in these fields has made him a stronger dentist and allowed him to be open to learning new things. After being offered several jobs in America, Dr. Espinoza took the Urgent Dental Care Sonoma position to continue serving the community that supported him.
Dr. Narek Akopyan was born in Armenia and came to the United States when he was 5 years old. Born in Los Angeles, he attended University of California San Diego for his undergraduate degree in Biology. The University of Nevada, Las Vegas was Dr. Akopyan’s dental school. After graduation, he won the American College of Dentists Outstanding Student-Leader Award and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons Dental Student Award. He has taken a special interest in oral surgery procedures, including implant placement and wisdom tooth extractions. The theory of implant placement and techniques have been covered by Dr. Akopyan in several continuing education classes. To make patients more at ease, he is certified to deliver intravenous Sedation. Dr. Akopyan loves dentistry, and is eager to serve the Las Cruces community. In the future, he will be able to retire from his private practice to go on international trips and treat underserved populations.

Christopher Thomas D.D.S., Family and Community
Dr. Thomas was born and raised in Albuquerque. He has two wonderful children and enjoys spending his time engaging in activities with them. Dr. Thomas also coaches soccer and enjoys home gardening.
Marketto, a Las Cruces native, met Marissa at Creighton University. Marissa Marketto, Dr. Markto’s wife, is the proud parent of Max and Lucy. They spend time with friends and loved spending time with them.
New Mexico’s resident since childhood, Dr. Milavec has lived in New Mexico for his entire life. He was raised in Silver City. He e njoys hunting and the outdoors. His wife Jayne, and their children are his passions. He enjoys watching his daughter play soccer for NMSU.
Drew Marketto, Dr. Drew loves to spend time with Jene (also a Las Cruces resident). Their two dogs are their best friends and they love to cheer on the Aggie basketball team. Drew is a competitive shooter in the United States Practical Shooting Association and 3 gun competitions. Drew also likes to hunt and fish.

Doctor Oushy is a University of California San Francisco graduate. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public health from New Mexico State University.
Dr. Oushy is an expert in oral health and preventive care. She believes that education is the key to optimal dental health. She is committed to providing her patients with the right kind of care, i.e. “dental wellness care” rather than “diseasecare.” Her passion for her work as a Las Cruces dentist has brought her great joy.
Apart from work she likes to spend her time baking and with her twin sisters.

I have been going to this place for the last 5 years. I have had many problems. They took care of them. The customer service, care, guidance and treatment I have got have been always extraordinary. Everyone is professional and dedicated to deliver the best. I am sorry, I don’t remember all the names of the wonderful staff. Some of the names of the wonderful team members I remember I would like to mention like : Dr. Bains, Alex, Anna and Rupa. I have been going to Angel Care Dental since I was a young child… so quite a while 😉 and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The facility is beautiful, the care and gentle touch mean everything to me because I don’t like going to the dentist – who does? But it’s different here and I leave feeling genuinely happy. Mihaela is the BEST hygienist and Dr Galo is kind and extremely gentle. Even a root canal isn’t half bad with Dr Galo! Dr Soraya is also wonderful! Thanks Angel Care. ☺️ – Tara H
