    Sam’s Club: What products can you not buy using EBT?

    Even though there are several items you can buy at Sam’s Club with EBT, it is essential to understand that there are some restricted items too.

    EBT will not pay for foods that are hot or live at the point where they were sold.

    Sam’s Club members will receive SNAP benefits if they purchase fresh fish and meat products.

    EBT forbids purchase of wine or beer, liquor, cigarettes, or tobacco products.

    Also, any vitamins, supplements or medications are ineligible. The label can be used to verify if the product meets the definition of a “supplement”.

    SNAP purchases are not available for items with a Supplement Facts’ tag.

    Additionally, SNAP doesn’t cover non-food items. These items include household supplies, pets food, cleaning and hygiene supplies, as well as products for pet care, such has paper, toiletries, and cosmetics.
