How Many Schools Can You Attend with The Walmart College Program
Currently, there are 10 participating schools in the LBU Program. They include:
The schools listed below are available online only or have a brick-and-mortar school with an excellent remote/online program.
No matter what the situation, these programs were created to be accessible to both adult learners as well as full-time employees.
These programs don’t require students to attend classes or lecture at specific times. This is a similar situation as I experienced on an online program.
Rather, all the information is put online, including written lessons, videos, slideshows, etc. You can easily access the information at your own pace and convenience.
It’s up to them now, to be efficient with their time and complete all assignments within the given deadlines.
Students also interact with each other via discussion boards (online programs are surprisingly immersive and social!) You may also be able to arrange an offsite meeting via email, SMS, or other means.
Online schooling can seem intimidating but counselors and professors are available to help students from faraway locations.
Online schools strive to make it easy for students to succeed, as they recognize that physical obstacles such as distance and time can prove difficult.
How Much is the Walmart College Program Worth?
Walmart offers a college program via LBU that is totally free. Walmart also covers 100% of tuition and books expenses.
Students can access online programs without having to pay for on-campus lodging or travel.
The LBU had previously required employees to pay an $1 per-day fee. This was significantly less than the tuition fees.

Is there any restriction or exclusions to the Walmart College Program?
Walmart’s College Program has some limitations and exclusions.
For example, the types of degrees you can pursue through this program include pertinent fields like healthcare, business, technology and supply chain management.
Walmart will not pay to help you get the poetry degree you’ve always wanted.
An associate’s and bachelor’s degree is only available to current employees. Therefore, you are not allowed to use this program to earn a second bachelor’s degree.
It is not possible to hire temporary associates for holiday work.
Finally, salaried workers are generally not eligible. The exception is field facility associates who are salaried; they are still eligible for the program.
Are There Any Walmart College Program Scholarships?
Walmart doesn’t offer any scholarships because all costs are paid for by the company.
Walmart offered other scholarships programs that were not related to LBU and it has done so since years.
These are the Walmart Dependent scholarship and Walmart Associate scholarships.
You could apply the $13,000 scholarship towards any four-year program.
Walmart has ended its scholarship program because of expansion plans for the LBU Program.
They opted instead to concentrate their education assistance on Live Better U.
LBU does not apply to former employees. That means Walmart employee dependents will no longer be eligible for tuition assistance.
The positive side of this is, however, that employees who were enrolled at college under the Walmart Associate Scholarship or Walmart Dependent Scholarship would still be eligible for full funding.

This ambitious program, with Walmart covering 100 percent of the college tuition and books expenses for their employees, will cost the company a pretty penny.
