What Is The Walmart Point System?
Walmart has a point system that is designed to encourage associates not to be tardy or absent unexpectedly.
It was updated in 2019, with the number of points anyone employee could receive going from nine to five. If an associate earns less than five points they can be terminated.
One point will be awarded to associates who do not attend their assigned shifts on time.
Additionaly, those who work late might be eligible for half the point. However, unexpected absences may lead to a maximum of 3 points.

How Long Do Points Last At Walmart?
Walmart associates don’t accumulate points continuously throughout their time with Walmart.
Every associate’s points will be reset at the end of six months in an effort to make sure that everything is fair.
Also, authorizations for absences do not count in the points system. Walmart employees are not at risk of losing their jobs for failing to work five or more shifts in six months.
Walmart: How many absences are allowed?
According to the Walmart Point System, associates can receive up to three points for unplanned absences in holiday shifts.
If they are not available during trading times, they will only be awarded 1 point. Walmart considers an absence when a person is absent for less than half the time of their scheduled shift.
A coworker may have up to five hours of leave before facing being fired, depending upon the reason.
They could also be absent on one holiday shift or two standard shifts. They could also be terminated if they suddenly disappear from 2 holiday shifts.
Walmart pays good attendance.
Walmart offers associates the opportunity to be recognized for their attendance.
In 2019, full-time Walmart employees and part-time Walmart employees can receive increased cash bonuses each quarter.
Workers with impeccable attendance records will be eligible to receive 25% more in their regular quarterly bonuses. Individuals with just one point may still be eligible to receive an increase bonus.
Walmart offers quarterly bonuses based upon a variety of factors. The year 2019 was the first year of attendance bonuses. Hourly associates were awarded almost $800 million in bonuses.
How To Clock In At Walmart?
Walmart employees are expected to clock-in for shifts using the GTA Time Clock app, regardless of whether or not they show up late.
To use the GTA Time Clock app, all users need to go to the Time Clock Home screen and sign into OneWalmart. They will be asked to enter a unique user ID and password to verify their identity.
After logging in, the user can simply select “Clock In”, to begin their shift. Or, if they are already clocked in, they can select the “Meal Start,” “Meal End,” and “Clock Out” options as appropriate.
