    Walmart’s PTO Policy in 2022

Walmart’s Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy allows eligible employees to take time off work to deal with health issues, family emergencies, or spend time with family. You can take PTO starting at 15 minutes intervals and you don’t have to limit your available balance. Walmart may deny PTO, so it’s important to request PTO as quickly as possible.

  • What’s the difference between protected and regular PTO in Walmart?

Since Walmart wants associates to have a healthy work-life balance, they offer two types of Paid Time Off (PTO)- Regular PTO and Protected PTO.

Assistants can take advantage of regular PTO so they have time to see their loved ones, attend to medical matters, and relax over the holidays.

Similarly, Protected Time Off has you covered if you have a family or health emergency that pops up.

You may worry about your job in an emergency. But Walmart’s Protected Time Off gives associates protection when they suddenly need to take time off.

PTO policies protect the needs of both the employee and Walmart by giving associates a degree of flexibility in the scheduling while maintaining a staffed position.

Employees can access additional information on PTO or Protected Paid time Off here.

If a relative or friend has a long-term illness, or is suffering from a chronic condition, it’s a good idea to request a Leave of Absence.
