“I was worried about the fate of my man-cave during Hurricane Sandy and decided that I needed a backup sump. After much research, I settled on the water-powered model. The RB-750 arrived and I was able to install it in a weekend. This pump worked great, and it was very well made. You also get the extra connections, which made the installation easier. It took me about 2 days to set up the pump. While I don’t consider myself a professional, I do have some skills around the house. It was my decision to make a separate drainage pipe. However, if you have an issue with the main pump discharge, you don’t need to. Flexible spa tubing works great. I connected the pump to the sump pit using it. It was also easy to disconnect the pump from the sump pit. I would recommend reading the directions carefully. There is a lot going on with project, and while it is not difficult, when working with pvc glue you only get one chance.
