Why A Hypervolt Review In 2021?

You may be wondering why there is a second Hypervolt regular review for 2021. Because it’s already 2021. There has been a lot since 2018, when regular Hypervolt was announced.

Hypervolt vibrates therapy devices.

For one, not many people back then knew much about percussive treatment (apart form Theragun, of course). Everyone was talking about vibrational therapy as a recovery option.

So, while Hypervolt hasn’t done much to alter their original product (except add Bluetooth connectivity to it, as far as we know), the market has changed significantly.

The vibrational therapy cake has been depleted and everyone is trying to dig into the new percussive therapy one.

There is a problem. The regular Hypervolt doesn’t actually work as percussive devices. It was intended for vibration therapy and was not meant to be. Even so, everyone else seems to have moved on to percussive therapy and there are literally hundreds of brands out there selling percussive devices.

Hyperice, Theragun and other brands may not have had the exposure they deserve. However, some of these companies are truly innovative. We’ve already written extensively about some of their products in previous posts.

What makes these tools better than a foam roller?

The foam roller is being replaced by modern-day tools for recovery. It offers myofascial releases. These tubes and balls are used to massage fascia. Your muscles and the surrounding area can become irritated or tightened if they are overworked.

There is not much current research, but one study that was published in International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy concluded foam rolling resulted in less muscle tightness as well as a greater range of motion. However, it’s worth noting that a more recent review of research suggests that it takes more force to impact the fascia and muscle tissue.

This brings us to the second reason why a massager is superior than a foam roller. First of all, products from brands such as Theragun and Hyperice offer more force than a traditional foam roller. It can be used to instantly generate a powerful vibration, pulse or target an area. This tool is also more powerful because it doesn’t require you to have your own weight. You can simply point and shoot.

Hyperice actually created the Vyper 2.0, PS189, which utilizes percussive treatment to make the most powerful vibrating exercise roller in the world. It features all of the benefits associated with foam-rolling but amplified through powerful vibration.

Hyperice Ict Review. Ice, Compression. And Mobility

We are pleased to present a series on Hyperice’s pre- and post-workout recoveries. Five of the Hyperice products will be reviewed. These reviews will include the Hypervolt, Venom and NormaTec lines. Links will be provided to the product names as they are published. To show you what their products have to offer, a preview was posted previously. It’s now time to look into the complete product Hyperice ICT Knee.

Hyperice gave me reasons to choose the products that I reviewed when I worked with them to decide which products I would review. My wife is a former runner and fitness instructor. Before COVID, she was also teaching 45-50+ classes per month. I am a cyclist/runner and have started three classes per week. We all experience aches and pains. One of the aches we felt, especially since we were running more distances while in quarantine, was our knees.

The past has seen us wrap frozen gel-ice packs in ziplock bags, ice pack with ice and ACE bands around ice packs. None of these options proved to be a viable option. It was impossible to keep the gel-ice packs cold enough. With the Hyperice ICT Knee, it has solved these problems.

It was very easy to use. Easy filling of the largemouth caps was possible because the ice cells are removable from the compression wrapping for easy cleaning. You could probably fit at most golf ball size ice in the ice cell, if needed. The most ice I ever filled it with was a full tray from the freezer, which was more than needed, and there was still plenty of room left.

This is the place where the ice cells fit into.

Place the ice cubes and attach the compression wrap. Three alternating straps were used to secure the stretchy neoprene wrapping around your knee and provide compression for the ice cell. As I found it easiest to place the ice crystal where it was needed. I wrapped the middle, top, and bottom straps first and adjusted as required. This is what sets the ice-cell apart from other packs. You can release any air trapped in the cell by tightening the elastic straps.

Before the air was evacuated from the ice cells.

Why should I use Hyperice

Hyperice Hypervolt handheld massage guns may offer pain relief. You may be able to get a better range of motion by using them in your warm-up routine before you start exercising. Percussive therapy is still under investigation. 25 May 2021
