Leaf Razor Review: The Argument For Cost Per Use

Leaf Razor sponsored my Leaf Razor review. Leaf and other companies such as Leaf are greatly appreciated by me.

Zero waste shaving

Not something I think about all that much as a light-haired and very lazy person.

However, razors are an important part of my shower kit. Having the chance to use the Leaf safety razor was a great experience. Although I don’t claim that the Leaf razor has changed my life, it definitely improved my shaving skills.

Before the new razor, I used a standard safety razor. It did the job well and was simple. This was an entirely different experience.

Their razors mimic those fancier disposable razors with a pivoting head and the potential for up to three blades, making it feel much different than a basic safety razor.

Yes. And no.

$52.82/13 = $4.06/Use

Looking at the cost of the initial kit, the disposable razor ends up costing less per use. However, there are several factors you should consider.

How much does plastic end up in landfills cost? This may not be a major issue for your wallet but it has an important environmental impact. The US throws away approximately 2 billion razors every year.

Safety razors also get less expensive over time. There are many safety razor blades that you can purchase for your Leaf. The Leaf Essentials pack, which includes 100 blades at $6.87 each, gives you about 46 cycles per shave with a CPU running at $1.86. The Gillette razor blade, however, is more costly per use. If you buy 46 cartridges, your CPU will cost $4.85

It is important to consider the financial savings if we are serious about purchasing items for long term use. We are also diverting many plastic products from landfill.

Leaf razor Review: Do you really like it?

I find it annoying, in fact. I almost wanted to be sorry, but this razor was so easy to use that it made me feel like a luxury product. (I even ended up passing on my old safety razor and blades to someone who’d been wanting one, so – win!) But let’s get specific.

The Leaf Razor’s Cons

They’re expensive. They are expensive, but we have already covered that.

It can be difficult for people with weak hands to insert the blades. You will need to cut the Leaf in half, then insert them into the three compartments. While it’s not difficult it takes a bit longer than the basic safety razor “drop it into” procedure. It is not difficult, although it does take practice.

My Leaf razor review is positive overall.

If you have the money for an initial investment, the Leaf razor is worth the cost . A product that is beautiful, well made, and works well will give you back your investment.

Let’s start with the Leaf.

Since 2016, the Leaf razor has been the leading cartridge replacement brand. They have successfully completed their KickStarter crowdfunding campaign in 2016. Deliveries started in 2017.

Leaf Shave’s continued improvement of the shaver’s build is a credit to them. While the current product is slightly different to some of their earlier-generation models, Leaf Shave remains committed to listening and addressing customer complaints and then making design modifications as necessary. These changes can be made to reduce blade exposure and make the carrier tray (or leaves) more stable. ), placement of the blade retention magnets, changes to adhesive for those magnets, and even a few different logo designs on the handle. The evolution of Leaf products reflects the “kaizen” design philosophy. Minor adjustments can be made based on customer feedback in order to create a higher-quality product.

Figure 3 shows how the Leaf blade positions and quantities affect the closeness, and aggression of the shaving.

The Leaf allows for flexibility in blade positioning within the razor head. This means that you can get closer shaving and/or more aggressive. Similar to a cartridge the leading blade handles most of it and whips up most of the hairlaugh and lather. Meanwhile, the trailing, or second, blades remove any extra whiskers left by the original blade. For customers that can’t get clean shavings with just one blade, this means they are able to remove hairs faster and with fewer passes.

Figure 4: Leaf’s tapered exposure offers more options to those with sensitive skin.

The tapered exposure system of the Leaf allows the user to adjust blade quantity and position to accommodate sensitive skin area.

We now have the Shavent. Shavent hails from Germany’s small, family-owned shavers manufacturer. While the Leaf razor has been around for years and garners many reviews, the Shavent has comparatively few video exposes, with the minority of them being in English.

Blade Tabs

The Shavent fully covers blade tabs but the tabs should be shorter and straight, at least for the first bottom blade. These blades may require manual straightening or cutting to ensure they are loaded evenly. You can stack up the Shavent head to get half-blades or trim DE blade tabs manually, but it is not as convenient.

Figure 7: These sharp blade tab corners don’t feel good when they scratch the inside of your ears or under your nose!

Leaf, on the other hand exposes bent tabs from broken DE blades under the razor head. These can sometimes nick the ears during a head shaving. You might also opt to trim or use shavette halves to cut the tabs.

I was notified by nav that my Leaf razor arrived just two weeks ago. The design is amazing!

Of course, it is not uncommon to see small differences in blade width or exposure that lead to innovative designs.

This razor goes beyond the ordinary. Magnetic stoppers ensure that the blade is not bent by the magnetic blade loading tray.

The pivot has a large angle of motion so one can tailor the shave to their preference.

This package is very well packed. It includes the razor, a Twig stand razor, and 50 Personna blades.

There are some negative things about the leaf. The most important thing is the way it’s used.

The YouTube videos I have seen showed that users used no pressure. This is strange considering it’s not a fixed-head razor. However, it has a pivot head so pressure is necessary to achieve close shaving. Depends on the requirements of the user how high the pressure is.

The Leaf Shave Review: It’s Time To Get Rid Of Plastic!

Here is my Leaf Shave Review and my impressions of how the razor felt when shaving my head using their pivoting, spring-loaded blades.

I am open to new styles and razor brands. I often compare the razors I own with those I try.

But this time I had a different razor search mission on my mind.

Recently, I read that more than 2 billion disposable razors end up in landfill every year. This is alarming!

And so my quest for a non-plastic, environmentally friendly razor brand lead me to searching the internet for many hours until I stumbled upon Leaf Shave’s website.

Their website caught my attention immediately.

The Leaf razor grabbed my attention immediately. It had a pivot head razor that caught my eye, as well as the fact that it didn’t have plastic parts.

How Much Does The Leaf Razor Cost?

As part of the

Leaf Razor Review: The Argument For Cost Per Use

“>leaf razor review, we need to talk about the money, the bling, the coins. The leaf razor is not the most budget-friendly option, let’s face the facts.

The leaf razor comes in at USD 84 plus a 10 blade starter kit. The price may appear high at first, but we’ll explain. The cost of 100 blades is USD 6, which equals 66 blades. You break the blades in half, and can use as many as 3 blades per load. (it is customizable to your needs).

Check out my Youtube video to see the details.

If I relate this to myself and my wife, we both use the leaf, and I just checked our pack of hundred blades is not even half empty, and we bought them last year. The safety razor is another reason we use it. I don’t have any facial hair and I only need to shave about every other day.

Imagine that you are a shaver and have your blades replaced every week. 100 blades are good for about 1 year. 3 months.

Let’s take the Gillette supermarket model. I bought 4 refill blades for USD 21 and replaced my razors every other week because they were difficult to clean and would clog with hair. When you buy a refill kit with 12 blades for USD 49.61, you only need to buy two of those, and you got your money back.
