Cooper Discoverer At3-4S tire is a fantastic all-terrain choice for your stock Overland vehicle.

“I enjoy the aroma of new tires. Tyson, my friend stated, “I place them in the bedroom for one night, then I mount them onto my car.”

“Ahhhh…. It’s true, I thought.

Tyson stated, “The scent or aroma is so wonderful.”

Tires are vital for vehicle safety. The rubber meets the road. Tyson, my friend goes above and beyond tire needs. To most, however, the necessity of tires is something most of us consider a necessary evil. However, that may change with the Cooper Discoverer AT3-4S tire. Even though I prefer to spend money on other outdoor equipment, I appreciate the necessity of quality tires that are reliable and last. They are what “connect” you to the road. I can get to my destination with tires in comfortable and reliable manner. Cooper tires are excellent at this.

The importance of having reliable, solid tires when I returned from work was clear to me as I drove my car home after visiting the local tire shop. My Land Cruiser simply didn’t feel right. It felt rough. There was also a feeling of vibration near the front. It wasn’t anything too extreme but noticeable. The symptoms were possibly caused by the E-rated new tires. Previous to this, my Land Cruiser had street tires. It could be that the stiffness in the new tires is what caused these symptoms.

OutdoorX4 magazine Issue 25-28 featured a series on my purchase of a 200 Series Land Cruiser. At that time I was in search of larger tires to support my family on the varied terrain and locations we intended to explore. I purchased a set of Discoverer AT3XLT tires and they have been flawlessly performing for 12 months. These tires are excellent on all terrains, including gravel and sand. For a full review, see OutdoorX4 Gear Issue 30. Cooper Tires kept a secret.

Cooper Tires developed three versions of the Discoverer AT3 tire in order to accommodate a variety of vehicles. Why should an ordinary off-road vehicle get the same set tires as a big diesel truck? Isn’t a Ram diesel truck different than a Toyota Tacoma truck? A weekend adventure vehicle for weekend warriors that can be driven to work on Mondays? One tire is made by many manufacturers and can be used for a wide variety of vehicle applications. Cooper Tires does not have this problem.

The Top 3 Cooper Discoverer 4S Reviews – 93% on the Suzuki Jimny (225/70R15), on an assortment of roads, for 0 easy miles. I mounted these on my 2020 All New Jimny. It exceeded all my expectations. The grip in both dry and wet conditions is exceptional. Road noise is nearly non-existent. It’s even worse than the Dunlop Grantrek AT20. And, it seems that there are no adverse effects on my fuel economy. Because it’s wider than the stock Dunlop 195/80/r15 Dunlop tires, I feel better when turning and cornering. The tires will definitely be purchased again. It hasn’t shown wear even though it was only 2000 kms.

This was 88% I got while driving my Nissan Pathfinder (265/70R15 T) over mostly motorways for 7,200 miles.

A handsome tire with good grip in all conditions. This tire does not seem to be affected by excessive rain. Very impressive grip in 4H/4L deep snow. 8 inches of snow was enough to get me up hills quickly and comfortably. It was very good at removing snow and mud from the tread. Noise from tire is hardly noticeable compared to other tires in the category. The tire is capable of running on or off-road with a 65,000-mile warranty.

I noticed a decrease in MPG; the average mpg for me has dropped from 18.5- 17 over the past one year. The tires squeal on concrete roads in wet conditions before they have warmed up. Pebbles stick between the treads making clicking noises. The noise stops at the highway, and the poor man behind you gets a rock chip. The tire feedback is numb. But that can all be attributed to my 20 year old suspension. It’s a Nissan dinosaur of 4500lbs. Also, the price skyrocketed after the positive reviews rolled in.

These tire are in the top tier of their class and carry more weight than they, or their manufacturer. Cooper marketing is the right choice for an SUV driver, who tends to stay on the highway and needs off-road performance. I wouldn’t hesitate to shop online for the best price or wait until a rebate is available. After a rebate was offered, the original price dropped to $99/ea US.

Cooper Tires Explorer(r) At34S(tm). Long-term Evaluation

Jason Kramer. Words and photos by Jason Kramer. Cooper Tires asked that we review the Discoverer AT34S tire, designed for truck-drivers who drive pickups, crossovers, or full-size SUVs. To see how these tires perform in all conditions, we decided to upgrade our Jeep Grand Cherokee chase vehicle’s tires.

The tires were very aggressive and I was able to take them on a variety of terrains. Jennifer called the open 5-rib design “Dino the Dinosaur”. It’s supposed to deliver exceptional off-road performance and wet/dry performance.

Cooper’s Discoverer AT34S has a 65,000 mile guarantee. This is due to the use of silica-based tread compounds in the Secure-Grip(tm), all-terrain design.

A few days after we put the new shoes in the Jeep, all the camera gear was packed and we headed to Road America for another exciting day.

The hour drive from our office to the track had smooth highway tarmac, a construction zone with gravel strewn everywhere, an off-the-beaten path farm road and finished with a winding road around the fabled racetrack.

The first impression I got was the minimal road noise and barely discernible from behind the wheel. It was so quiet, I began to wonder how aggressive the tread truly was.

As we pulled up to the pit, I wondered if I could get a chance to run a few laps on the track. A lot of our hardware was capable of setting lap records. It was impossible for the Jeep to match track tires. However, I was eager to test the tires in some more intense driving.

Discussion. As I don’t need an uneven tread pattern when we go into the snow season in Colorado, he tried to get his supplier to warrant them. However, since the treads are not wear-resistant they won’t take it.

After looking at other options, I saw that everyone was raving over the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W’s. This convinced me that this tire would be my choice. The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S was then mentioned to me.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S | Cooper Tire https://www.thenewx.org/forum/314-d…cooper-discoverer-at3-family-|-4s-lt-xlt.html I tried finding out more in-depth reviews about them from our forum but only found @Screamin post who just got them and the usual press release. This summer’s 4S/LT/XLT range is brand new and hasn’t had a chance to be put through its paces. Although the 4S has been rated as severe weather, they are not able to be used on the roads. This review was found on Taco’s website after much digging. I decided to fully endorse them. Cooper? I don’t know if he is the reviewer, but his tire review was exactly what I desired.

I did not want to go to the LT285/75/16 XLT, or the LT265/75/16 LTLT because it was heavier and had a lower speed rating. 56 lbs and 126R in the XLT, 48 lbs & 112R (2.469lbs/49lbs), and 3S 265/75/16=41 lbs & 4S 116T (2.756lbs) all from Cooper’s website. On Tuesday, I will have them fitted in time for me to travel to Ogden (from Telluride) to take part in my Xterra PAN/AM Championship Race. They look great and I will be reporting back. I will try to obtain an Imogene Pass in the next few weeks after I have finished racing this summer.
