It’s my first experience with a cushion compact. My sensitive skin still isn’t ready for makeup, so I’ve been trying to avoid using any – even foundation – as much as possible. Some makeup can actually be beneficial to skin. The hope to improve my complexion and the reality that makeup is required for special occasions like weddings, made me anxious so I ordered the Magic Snow Cushion 2.0 PA+++ APRILSKIN. It was released in September 2013. This is the new version. What are the differences? It’s a shame that I didn’t try the original, so I don’t have any comparisons. The following are some of the things that online reviews have said:
1. The puff changed color from beige towards black.
2. Version 2.0 is compatible only with the original refill, as it’s larger.
3. Version 2.0 allows for more customization.
4. Version 2.0 boasts better oil control.
New product has a pearlescent dark case and gold lettering. It has a mirror inside and separates the pillow from the cushions. The new case ensures the compact is airtight by automatically closing the puff holder when you close the cover (There’s a clicking sound when you do so). However, the size is larger than I expected so I probably won’t be carrying it around in my bag.

Modified Oct 27, 2020 Calendula has soothing properties and is widely known in Russia. Calendula is not well-known in America, or at least most Americans who are not aware of it. But what was I getting at?
It’s true, Aprilskin Real Calendula Peeling Padding has arrived in my possession. I actually have a few products from this calendula line (more reviews coming soon!). These pads can be purchased on eBay. The pad is made in the same way as before, with one side embossed (the other side being smoother). There are 79% calendula, hyaluronic and glycerin in the ingredients. It is easy to spot the actual calendula flower petals within the jar.
The pad manufacturer claims that it will eliminate any oily residues and leave your skin smoother and hydrated. Your pores will be more transparent and will show less makeup.
You can use the pads in the morning and at night. They can also be kept in the fridge for freshness. My bathroom is where I find them most useful.
