Taylormade Sim 2 Driver Review

Do you want to go faster and further in 2021? If you are, then I am sure that you have been searching for the top drivers and perhaps stumbled upon the TaylorMade SIM2 line.

This year, these drivers made quite a stir and it is easy to see why. The trust of some prominent players in the game, like Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson or John Rahm are all testament to its reliability.

Although the SIM 2 was a big hit in 2020 it wasn’t available to everyday golfers. This is the first time that it has been made available to golfers. To help you select the right driver for your game, this review will break down all the technical specifications and details of these drivers.

What makes TaylorMade’s new driver so unique?

Well, quite some… This is replacing the SIM drivers from 2020 that were very popular. TaylorMade explains, “First the driver was reshaped, and then it was rebuilt.” Rebuilding the driver completely from scratch to provide forgiveness and distance. Go ahead, the tee box is yours.”

Speed Injected Twist-Face Technology: Toe and heel shots just got a whole lot faster. Twist face technology allows you to have faster, straighter off-center hits.

This driver is unique because of the forged ring construction. Precision-milled aluminum is used to enhance power and forgiveness.

It was going to be hard to do it.

TaylorMade redesigned the process of building its drivers to increase performance, and decrease forgiveness.

By utilising a new design called Forged Ring Construction, TaylorMade has been able to bring a host of new technology and construction ideas to the table with SIM2.

Forgiveness

At this point, there’s little doubt that the SIM2 Max is more forgiving than the SIM2. And this was definitely borne out in my testing.

These mis-hits are simply better on the SIM2 Max. Their distance results compare to solid strike and even the worst ones tend to stay in play.

But how is the forgiveness compared to the SIM Max? A few people claim that there’s no improvement there, but I would strongly disagree with them.

In my SIM Max Review, I found that the driver did not seem to be as patient or forgiving. TaylorMade certainly has closed that gap with their SIM2 Max. In a nutshell I believe this driver is the most friendly you will find right now.
