I switched from using the Pixi Glow Tonic for acid toning to The ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning solution a little less than a year ago, just before the winters started. For those new to the topic, I want to share my experience with the Pixi Glow Tonic. It was my starting point for acid toning. This may not be the product for you. We’re done with that, let us move on to the reviews.
What is it and what does it claim to do:
Glycolic acids 7% toning solution is water-based and contains botanical extracts as well. This treatment gently exfoliates the skin to restore a clear, radiant appearance. With regular usage, it improves skin texture and color.

Toner was a great option for me because it helped reduce the appearance of hormonal acne. After a few days, my acne cleared.

Therefore, it is important to only use glycolic acid at night. Glycolic acid is supposedly colorless, but The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution actually has a yellowish tint to it. Glycolic acid may be extracted from natural sugars. That could explain why this toner includes three types sugars: sucrose, glucose, or fructose. It also comes with a regular bottle cap and a squeeze bottle cap for squeezing it onto a cotton pad.

For those with more severe conditions such acne scarring and other skin issues, the products may not provide you the results you are looking for.
How effective is The Standard Glycolic Acid Toner?
Studies have shown that glycolic acids peels can improve scarring and acne. They are safe to use at concentrations of 20% to 70%. The peels should be removed after a minimum of 15 minutes. The OrdinaryGlycolic Acid Toning Solution was not designed as a glycolic or phenolic peel. You apply it at night after cleansing your skin.
