Titleist T100 And T100S Irons Verdict

Jordan Spieth uses the Titleist T100 irons. He is, in my view, the third-best iron player after Collin Morikawa or Tiger Woods. Spieth was so confident in his new irons, he placed them in the bag to finish runner up.

It says a lot that this is from an expert player like Spieth. His suggestion was to suggest you could hit the exact same shots with a knife, with additional help for mis-hits.

Because I didn’t like the launch of the T100s Irons the first time, and couldn’t find the optimal distance to maximize my carry distance with them, I found the T100s II to be my favorite model.

The T100s were reviewed back in 2020. I found little difference to the T100, however it was more evident this time. The new tungsten weighting in the area where my bad shots are placed may have given me a bit more assistance.

The Open was proof of my passion for irons. I looked in Adam Scott’s bag and saw that he was using the T100 with both a 2nd and 3rd iron.

Who are They Targeted at?

T100, the most common iron model on PGA Tour is so you have an answer – it’s built for elite players.

Paul Club Reviews Golf Product Reviews No Comments In this review, I’ll be taking an in-depth look at the 2021 model of the Titleist T100 iron.

Titleist introduced the T100 for the first time in 2019. The T100’s purpose was to deliver premium Tour performance while maintaining a slim profile and high forgiveness.

Titleist now has the T100 redesigned to improve feel, turf interaction, performance and overall quality based upon extensive feedback received from world-class players.

It is intended to offer the highest level of precision, control and feed. It is not easy to see how it works in the real world. What kind of golfer would be able to put this in their bag?

This review will attempt to address all these issues and many more. This is what I will be covering.

Titleist T100 Irons Review

Founder and head author at Independent Golf Reviews This is my official review of the Titleist T100 Irons.

The new irons have worked great for me. I used them for 5 rounds.

These are my overall thoughts on the experience and performance of the T100 Irons.

11 years ago I wrote a review of the “new” Titleist AP2 718 irons . They were a shift in Titleist “traditional” design, and for me, became the standard by which irons are measured. Starting last year, Titleist began re-engineered and renamed their club lines. The woods were the first to be renamed, and the irons are now. They are now T irons. Now they are T irons. This actually makes a lot of sense since the AP2 were the players irons, the AP1 more game improvement and AP3 more game improvement yet. It all seemed a bit jumbled. The T100 is the best advanced player irons. T200, T300 and T300 are next. Despite this name change, T100 is still my gold standard for comparing new irons.

Titleist always asks that I get fit before they just place clubs in my hand to test. This is a fantastic way to ensure that they have the best product available for me. As I could not coordinate with a Titleist fitter this time, so I simply went to the PGA store. Their fitting carts and launch monitors were all ready. I started with the Titleist T100 and hit a few shafts and then hit the T200 with a few shafts. It was obvious that the T100 was a great match for the DG AMT White S300. However the “fitter” kept trying to get me into the T200 because they were longer. He tried to convince me that distance was not what I wanted. It is all about dispersion. T100 iron shots looked tight, tight, and shorter than the T200. It’s not surprising, considering the T200 irons have stronger lofts that are designed to travel further. As one degree was too strong, we found that one degrees flat worked better for me. The numbers displayed on the launch monitor were therefore perfect.

The Titleist T100 irons arrived one week later. They look great in their bag. T100 irons received a new look with smaller cavities. The multi-material weighting is great and they fit the iron in a compact way. These irons are not as compact as the CB and MB irons but they are still very easy to use. These irons are small in size and have minimal color. This is due to the CG manipulation using Tungsten.

The sole design. In response to players’ feedback, Titleist made the sole more comfortable. Better turf interaction is possible due to the softening of the leading edge, smoother trailing edges and rounder sole. The first thing I noticed about the T100 irons was how smooth they cut through the turf. These are much more round than those of the AP2 line, with a wider sole and greater camber. It is ideal for use on tight fairways or in rough. Although I frequently talk about the hard AZ turf and its softening properties, it can also be very difficult to maintain a smooth playing surface after overseed. It is very difficult to make the ryegrass grow, and it can get quite watery on fairways. I liked how these irons were versatile for both hard and soft turf.
